You're Kitten Me DT Project by Jess Francisco

It's Jess and I am so excited to be back with you for another card tutorial today. Today I'm featuring the adorable and hilarious stamp set, 'Heads & Tails' which includes kitty and puppy heads and hinies - Get it? Too cute!

To get started, I decided to create my own background using the smaller cat themed stamps in the set. The cool thing about this set is you can love it whether you're a cat person or dog person because both are included! Yay! I stamped out the yarn balls first and then filled in the empty spaces with the cute little mouse stamp. I colored the images with Copic markers and set it aside.

I cut down a piece of black card stock. I cut the bottom to 4 inches across so it would fit my background panel. Then, I cut it at an angle- no precise measurements here. I just cut it how I thought it would look nice against my background panel.

I coated the paper with my anti-static powder tool and used Brutus Monroe Embossing Ink to stamp out the cute cat playing with yarn and the sentiment 'congratulations' on my black card stock. I covered the ink with Alabaster Embossing Powder and used my heat tool to melt it. I adhered the black piece to my background panel.

On a scrap piece of white card stock, I stamped the cat head and tail images using my Mini MISTI. I also included 'you're kitten me' in the center. I love how you can swap out sentiments and it gives you this silly stretched out cat or dog. Too funny! I colored the cat with Copic markers and fussy cut the image.

I popped the cat up on foam for some dimension and wrapped some pretty bluish green twine around the cat. Nothing like a cat wrapped up in yarn, right? I added a few clear sequins to add a bit of sparkle, too. I popped the card front up on Brutus Monroe Foam Tape and adhered it to an A2 sized card base. That finished off my card!
