Have you ever owned an ugly sweater? Of course we all have. Mostly Christmas sweaters that we either bought to wear to a Christmas party or function or we were "gifted one" at Christmas. Maymay's ugly sweater stamp set got me all fired up to have an ugly sweater Christmas party. When I showed the tags to my daughter (who's not a crafter by any means) she said 'Oh, these are so cute and I think I've owned a few that look just like them" I knew right then they would definitely be a hit.
Use the ugly sweater to make the invitations to mail for the party and of course tell everyone to wear their ugly sweater. Prizes for the ugliest sweater worn. Prize? An ugly sweater of course!!
Make gift tags using the ugly sweater stamp set use as is for a turtleneck or cut off the neck to make a cardigan sweater.
Make ugly sweater tree ornaments. Have each one with a number on the back and have each guest bring a wrapped white elephant and place a number on it. Have guests select an ornament and the number on the back is the present they take.
Make ugly sweaters to mark different food selections. Make 2 Sweaters and glue a skewer in between and write the name of the food on the sweater.
The possibilities are endless and hey who says that ugly sweaters only come out at Christmas?
For this project you will need the following supplies:
Maymay's stamp set Ugly Sweater Set
sweater type designer paper clink the link to find the type I used on sale!!
Card stock very vanilla
hole punch
gold string
Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set
Variety of different punches and stamps and embellishments pencils or markers any thing you may have in your stash. It's a great way to use up those items. Any stamp that will fit "on" the sweater.
I don't know about your family, but Christmas here isn't complete without a touch of Duck Dynasty. Santa never looked so good.
