The Psalms in Color coloring book is a really cute coloring book. I first saw this book about a year ago. I was on line looking for something I could purchase for my grandsons to keep them occupied during church. They were past the age of most coloring books and I wanted something spiritual and yet whimsy to draw them in to want to color it. This book was it!! Austin immediately found a picture with a zentangled deer, he couldn't wait to color it! When we came home from church he asked us to explain Psalms 42:1 to him (that was the verse with the deer)
William found a hot air balloon to color he couldn't wait to tell me his Bible verse Psalms 71:14. As for me, I will always have hope. William turned to me in church and said "If I was in a hot air balloon, I would hope it stay up!"
There's also several pictures that appealed to me as well. I like to use color pencils and water color pencils, they are easy for me to take when I sit in doctors offices or have to wait in car line for kids after school. I didn't color before I received this book. Pick yourself one up today if you like to color or start a new hobby.
Here's a picture that I colored with watercolor pencils and a gold gel pen. I have frame I'm putting this in and hanging on my wall.
I cut this out using my brother scan -n- cut
I also cut out the center and added gold foil card
stock and popped the center up
I added a paper doily to the back of the card and popped up the flowers. I next added an acetate paper with gold foil dots on it behind the doily and placed it all on a piece of black card stock added a fancy frame.
Watch for my next blog where I show you a technique using your coloring book pages. Until then, Happy Crafting!
