Perk it Up

Good evening y’all,

Today we are going to make a card using the Cuppa Cuppa stamp set from Maymay Made It. Please join me as we make a fun card together, and I hope this card can perk up your day as well.

First thing I did was cut down some 100lb Neenah desert storm cardstock to make a top folding A2 size card. I then cut down a mat using some 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock for the inside of the card. I then used a scalloped stitched die to cut out a white panel and a desert storm (kraft) panel to be used on the front of the card.

For the inside of the card I used my WRMK Corner Chomper to round the edges and then adhered it down with some art glitter glue. Then I took the sentiment this will perk you up and stamped it in the center of the card using some Memento espresso truffle ink. Next I took the coffee bean in the same stamp set and stamped three of them on two of the corners. The final thing I did on the inside of the card was to a happy accident, as the lid of my stamping tool fell onto my card and left a faint image on it of the coffee cup. Glad it happened as I liked how it turned out.

The first thing I did on the front of the card was to adhere the scalloped stitched die with some art glitter glue to the card. I then stamped the sentiment what’s brewing on the bottom of the card with the memento espresso truffle ink. Next I stamped out the coffee bean cup and began to cranky cut it out aka fussy cutting. I then stamped some coffee beans using first and second generation stamping. I also used a brown spectrum noir marker to color the top of the lid (to cover up an ink smudge I could not erase). I then put some clear spectrum sparkle on the coffee beans to give it a little pizazz. Next I took a coffee sleeve I got from a local coffee shop and inked it up with the espresso truffle ink and then wrapped it around the Neenah desert storm cardstock and adhered it down with some art glitter glue. I then took some brown jute and glued it down onto the coffee sleeve with some foam squares. I then stamped out the steam stamp above the coffee cup. Last thing I did was stamp the coffee bean stamp around the edge with first and second generation stamping and then also stamped a few at the bottom of the card as well.

This completes my card for today as well as my last design team project and I want to thank you all for the support these past six months. I have enjoyed the journey and I hope that this card put a little pep into your step today.

Really do love this. It’s difficult to see here but the twine pattern matches the bean pattern on the cup! A happy accident! The beans are adorable.
