Process:
I started out by arranging my stamps in my Stamp Platform and stamping them on white cardstock in Versafine Black Onyx Ink. Next I colored the images using a variety of COPIC markers. I used a white Gelly Roll Gel Pen to add a high lite on each apple. I stamped DAD onto the wood sign using the clickable alphabet stamps and Versafine Black Onyx Ink. Next I fussy cut out the colored images. Using some scrap black cardstock I created two fish tale flag strips in different lengths and staples them together at one end. I die cut my white card panel using a stitched rectangle then I glued my black strips down onto my white 4” x 5 1/4” die cut white cardstock. After that I assembled the apple bin, wood sign, grass and apples in a way that I liked and glued them down or put foam tape where I wanted some different dimension onto the white card panel. Then glued the white card panel to a red card panel measuring 4 1/8 x 5 3/8. Then glued these onto a black card base measuring 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Then I glued a white die cut (with a Stitched rectangle die) card panel (4 x 5 1/4) into the inside. Stamped “you’re the best” from MMI “Apple Of My Eye” stamp set into the lower left corner and glued a couple more apples around it. That sums up this fun card. It works perfectly for us because we live in the foothills of Southern California where there are lots of apple trees around. Yes, we eat lots of local apple pie 😆. Can’t wait to give this to my Dad in Law!!
