I am so thrilled to be a part of the Alumni Team at Maymay Made It. As a part of this team, we have to create projects using vintage stamp sets, which is so exciting and challenging at the same time!!! But Maymay has such lovely stamps that coming up with ideas is so much easier. So for my first card as part of this team, I decided to use the Bee's Knees Stamp set. Isn’t the bee uber cute!

First, I stamped the Bee on a watercolour cardstock, fussy cut it using my Cutter Bee scissors and coloured it with Zig markers. I coloured the wings with Clear Wink of Stella.
I wanted to create a beehive for the background, and for this, I cut a few hexagons from Distress Watercolor card stock using the Concord and 9th Lovely Blossoms Die set. I then coloured them with Fossilised Amber Distress Oxide ink and used Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide ink for the edges.
To create a focal image to place the bee on, I stamped one of the hexagons with the beehive stamp using Dried Marigold Distress ink. It is so easy and fun to create a background with this stamp.
I then stuck these pieces on a white A2 cardstock using art glitter glue and cut off the excess. After that, I stamped the sentiment and the dotted trail leading to the bee using my Tim Holtz Stamp Platform and VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. Next, I stuck the bee on the hexagon with the beehive stamped on it. To add embellishment to the card, I applied a few drops of Ripened Pumpkin Gloss and English Mustard Nuvo drops on the background.
Finally, I stuck this panel to the card base. -Joylita
