IG Alumni DT "Shaker Card" Challenge created by Joylita D'Souza

It is the last week of October, which means it is challenge week at Maymay Made It. This week’s challenge is to make Shaker Cards. I have been trying to make clean and simple cards lately, and so I made this card using the In God’s time Stamp Set by Joy Clair and Chin Up Stamp Set by Maymay Made It.

First, I stamped the hourglass image on Neenah solar white cardstock using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. Next, I used Clear Embossing powder and heat set it with a heat gun. After that, I stamped the sentiment on top of the image from the Chin Up Stamp Set by Maymay Made It. Since I wanted to stamp the word trust from the “trust him” sentiment, I masked the word him with a post it, applied VersaFine ink on the sentiment, removed the post it and stamped the word using VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. After that, I stamped the word God using the same ink. I embossed the entire sentiment with clear embossing powder as it adds dimension to the card.

To create the shaker, I used my cutter bee scissors and fussy cut the insides of the hourglass image. Then I stuck Acetate on it using art glitter glue. Next, I cut a foam sheet and stuck it on the acetate. After that, I added the blue glitter in the shaker well and then stuck another sheet of acetate using art glitter glue. I let it dry, and then I stuck this entire panel on an A2 top folding card base.
