Picture it 1972, when bright vibrant colors and clothing adorned with fun and playful flowers where all around us. Should this intrigues you please come on in and join me as we go back in time using Maymay’s stamp set Power Flowers.
First thing I did was cut down some 110 lb. Recollections bright pink cardstock and created a standard A2 size card. I then went ahead and cut down a piece of black cardstock for my mat. I then used one of the pierced sizzix oval dies and cut out a large die cut using the same black cardstock and also used a smaller one to cut out a window in the lower right hand corner of my mat and set them aside.
For the inside of the card I used the sentiments to say thinking of you from Maymay’s Sunflower Wishes stamp set using some BM detail ink. I then took several of the flowers and the leaves from the power flowers stamp set and stamped them at the bottom of the card. I then added some sparkle to them using me spectrum noir clear sparkle pen.
Next thing I did was choose several size flowers from the power flowers stamp set and stamped them with the worn lipstick distress oxide ink and a darker shade of pink as well that I had in my stash on the larger pierced oval die cut. I then placed some pink sequins in the center of several of the flowers to add a little bling to it.
I then glued down the mat to the base using my art glitter glue, best glue ever. I then chose the sentiment just a note from the sunflower wished stamp set and stamped it on the inside of the oval die cut with some black ink. Then I went ahead and added some shimmer to it with the spectrum sparkle clear pen.
The final touches were to pop up the flower oval die using some foam squares and adhering it down to the top of the card. Then I added some faux stitching using a pastel pink gel.
This completes the card for today and I hope you had a groovy time and I will see y’all real soon.
