Fun and Fancy Fold Card

Hey fellow crafters! I hope you are all having a wonderful day full of happiness and immense joy! Today I wanted to create a rather fun and fancy fold card. I absolutely loved how this card came out. This is one of those cards that seems much more difficult than it really is. I would encourage you to give this a try. You will definitely be surprised at how easily it comes together. Without any further ado, let's get started.

Some of the products and supplies that you will need are:

Sassy Birthday Stamp Set

Cuppa Cuppa Stamp Set

Distress Oxide Ink Fired Brick

Nuvo Crystal Drop Orange Soda

Nuvo Crystal Drop Antique Rose

Art Glitter Glue

Neenah 110 lb Cover Cardstock

Neenah Cardstock

Fiskars Stamping Tools

Bone Folder

Scoring Tool

Cricut Trimmer

Dahle Cutting Mat

Here are the measurements of cardstocks you will need:

4 1/8'' by 9 5/8'' and score at 4 1/4''

4 1/4'' by 5 1/2''

1 1/4'' by 4'' and score at 3''

4'' by 4 1/8''

3 7/8'' by 4''

3 7/8'' by 5 1/8''

3 3/4'' by 5''

I know, I know, so many 8th of an inch but I promise, once you create this card, you will be surprised at how easy it comes together, I promise!

Now, you could start with a designer paper or create your own designer paper. I opted to create my own designer paper using the stamp sets Cuppa Cuppa and Sassy Birthday. These are both Maymay Stamp Sets. To create the background, I simply put a few of my desired stamps onto a fiskar block and then stamped onto my paper, making sure to go on and off the page to give it a more finished look. Now, to give it an even more of a finished look, you could ink the edges of this cardstock but I opted to not.  Instead, I decided to create little stitch marks around my cardstock panel. There are many options and you can choose to go with the option that is best for you! You will then glue this panel onto the larger 4 by 4 1/8 panel to create an ever so slight border around your designer paper.

Now it is time to assemble this card! You will start with the largest of the cardstock. This will be your base card. You will crease where you scored and then you will attach the 1 1/4 by 4'' strip onto the back of the card to create the fun fold. To hide the strip on the back, you will take your 4 1/4 by 5 1/2'' cardstock and simply adhere it to the back. It not only will create a beautiful border for your card but will also hide the strip that is connected to the card.

Remember that designer paper we created? Will now its time to glue that piece onto the card itself. You will simply adhere that designer panel with the border piece around it onto the front of your card.

Now, most of your card is completed. I stamped out two coffee cups from the Cuppa Cuppa stamp set and glued one to the front of that strip and the other to the back. This gave it a little extra stability.I then stamped a sentiment onto that strip. This part is completely optional. I accidentally grabbed a lighter weight cardstock than I had meant to use. So to give this card a bit more body and weight, I added two panels to the inside of my card. This way, I had a very slight border of the gold/brown cardstock peeking through. I then added another sentiment on the inside of this card. The Sassy Birthday stamp set comes with a part A and part B. So part A is used in front of the card and part B is used for the inside of the card. At least, that is how I chose to use it!

To complete this card, I used some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Antique Rose and Orange Soda. I went with the Orange Soda and added it to the flames from the candles and with the Antique Rose, I simply put dots in any blank spots in my very own designer paper.

That completes the card blog for today! I truly hope that you have enjoyed this blog post for today. Until next time, have a wonderful weekend and an even better week!
