Floral Wreath Card

Hey everyone! I hope you are all having a wonderful day and have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am so thankful for all of you and truly grateful to have such amazing supporters in my life to encourage me every step of the way.

In my last blog post, I explained how to download and then upload the SVG files that are found for Maymay's Stamp Sets. Well today, I wanted to create a card using that same SVG file that I uploaded, cut out using the Cricut, stamped and colored.

I used my MISTI to stamp all the flowers at the same time using the negative piece of the cutouts. Once stamped with Memento Black Ink, I used my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers to color the flowers and the leaves. You can do this without the MISTI but I made multiple cards using this cut file so I thought it would be faster and easier using the MISTI.

I used the colors JG5 and JG6  in the Spectrum Noir line and colored the leaves. I used the darker shade to outline the existing outlines on the leaves and then went with the lighter color to blend and color the whole leaf.

Then I began coloring the flowers. For the flowers, I used the colors GB4, GB5, and GB6. I used the darkest color in the center followed by the lighter and the lightest at the tips of the flower. I also then went in with the darkest color and added some shading. You really don't have to do all that work, these flowers are gorgeous on its own and just simply coloring them really makes them beautiful but I really did want to play with my markers today so decided to make a little extra fuss with this coloring.

I also used the Happy Fall Stamp Set to create my wreath. This stamp set has a very unique and absolutely brilliant wreath creating a branch. I used it to create my wreath and then used the leaf from the same stamp set to go around the wreath to give it a more full and even look.

I wanted to pop the flowers up on the wreath and only put a few flowers on part of the wreath. I used foam squares to attach some of the flowers and then used my Art Glitter Glue to glue some leaves around the flowers.

I then used my Oxide ink and stamped berries from the Happy Fall Stamp set all around the background of the wreath. I had a scrap cardstock from a previous paper pack that I used to cut a strip then glued on. I thought this would give it another layer of elegance.

Then I took my MISTI out once again, used the Happy Fall Stamp set and used the banner that says "Happy Fall Y'all". I stamped this image twice using Versafine Onyx Black to give it a clean and crisp look. I fussy cut this out and used a black Spectrum Noir marker to go around the banner to give it a finished look. I popped it up using some foam squares.

I was really excited to try the Neenah Textured Cardstock out and I have to say, I fell absolutely in love with it. I love the feel of the texture and how heavy the cardstock feels. It truly gives the feel of an expensive card. I also love the colors it comes with. They are rich and elegant colors that can be dressed up or down. I used the slate/dark gray color for the base of my card.

I finished the card off by using some Nuvo Drops. I simply placed some on the center of the flowers and some on the wreath.

I love how this card came out. To me it is simple yet elegant. I hope you all give this card a try. Enjoy your day and dont forget to share your card pictures on the website or on the Maymay Made It facebook group.
