I was surprised and honored to be asked to be a guest designer for Maymay Made It and So Did I! I still think of myself as a beginner card maker, but with the great Maymay Youtube tutorials, I’ve learned a lot.
One of the first Maymay stamp sets I got was Owlton and Owlivia. I recently joined the stamp club, so I received the Stitched Sentiments set recently. I decided to put them together in this colorful encouragement gate-fold card.

Supplies used:

Owlton and Owlivia stamp set

Stitched Sentiments stamp set

Brutus Monroe Stitched Circle Die set

Neenah cardstock: blue, yellow and white

Memento Dew Drop ink pads: Bahama blue, tangelo and dandelion

Versafine black onyx ink pad

Art Glitter Glue

Wink of Stella

Stamping tool

Scoreboard

** Cricut portable cutter**

**Cuttlebug**

Measurements/Directions:

My blue card base is cut to 5 ½” x 8 ½”, scored at 2 1/8”  on each long side.

I folded both sides into the middle to create a gate-fold card.

I stamped the owl on white cardstock with Versafine black onyx ink, then colored him with colored pencils.

I matted a piece of yellow cardstock 2 ¼” square onto a piece of blue cardstock 2 ½” square.

I cut the owl out on my Cuttlebug using the 2” circle from the stitched circle die set, and centered this on the yellow mat.

The sentiment is stamped on a piece of white cardstock 2 1/8” x ½”. The yellow mat for the sentiment is 2 3/8” x ¾” and the blue is 2 5/8" x 1”.

The front panels are two pieces of white cardstock cut to 5 ¼” x 1 7/8”. I decided to create my own designer paper with the Whoo loves you? stamp and the small bow stamp from Owlton and Owlivia, and the xoxoxo stamp from Stitched Sentiments.

I adhered these two pieces to the front panels.

Next I added art glitter glue to the left half of the owl and added it to the left panel. I added glue to the right side of the sentiment and added it to the right side of the panel. (see the main photo)

For the inside I cut a pieces of yellow cardstock 4” x 5 ½”, added the Thinking of you Owlways sentiment, and one more xoxoxo near the bottom to go above the signature.

You cant see it in the photo, but I finally added Wink of Stella to the owls eyes and to all of the yellow bows just for some shimmer.
