Good afternoon y’all,
I am hopping that today’s project puts a little spring into your step. Whether you enjoy hopping down the bunny trail or tip toeing through the tulips I wish you all a very happy spring.
The card I am presenting to today is a standard A2 size card. First thing I did was cut down my base and my mats. For the card base I went with some Neenah desert storm 100lb cardstock. I then scored the card using my Martha Stewart mini score board to create a top folding card. I cut down two mats for the inside and the outside of the card using 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock.
For the inside of the card I used my We R Memory Keepers crop a dile corner chomper to give all four corners a decorative look. I then took the bean stamp from Maymay’s Jar of Fun stamp set and stamped the bean in clusters in the bottom two corners using Memento Tuxedo black ink. After stamping the beans I colored those in with Spectrum Noir Colorsta markers to have them be more of a jellybean to go along with Easter/spring theme. Once all the jellybeans were colored in then I added some Spectrum Sparkle clear to give them a little shimmer and glitter. The last thing I did was use my Stamp Perfect and Memento tuxedo black ink to stamp the bean too long sentiment from the same Jar of fun stamp set.
Now for the front of the card I decided to use some bold colors so I chose Habernero imperial purple and satin red Versafine inks to stamp out several of the different flower images from Maymay’s Floral Kaldiescope stamp set. Then I stamped out some of the leaves and colored them in with some spectrum noir markers to fill in some of the empty space on the card front.
The next step was to stamp out the stitched tag from Maymay’s stitched shapes stamp set onto some 100lb Neenah desert storm cardstock. I proceeded to dos some cranky cutting, my version of fussy cutting, with my cutterbee scissors. Once the cranky cutting was complete I used the imperial purple Versfine ink to stamp out the happy easter sentiment from Maymay’s Hare Peeking stamp set. I then popped up the tag onto foam squares and placed on the card front.
Then I randomly placed enamel dots on the card and adding several to the inside on the stamped floral images to give them a bit of a focal point and dimension. I also randomly selected some of the floral images and added some Spectrum sparkle clear to them.
This completes my card for today and I hop you have a blessed spring season and see y'all soon.
