Hi Everyone Happy Wednesday To You!
Today I want to share a simple card that has a wow factor to it!
As you can see this card has an easel in the center of it. I call it a desktop card because there is no inside to it, the card does not open. So it is not only a fun and easy card to make, but it also acts like a home decor item as well.
Here are the supplies I used:
Here is how ya do it:
First, using the trimmer and a bone folder, score the cardstock at 4.25 to form card base. Turn the cardstock so the 5.5 inch side is towards the top of the trimmer. On one half of card, cut at 1.5 and 4 up to the score line. See image below (dark lines are where to cut)
Use the bone folder to crease on all the score marks. We will now have a card that half is solid and the other half is cut up to score mark. Take the center piece and fold that in half to create a triangle. (this will be the easel part. Using Art glitter glue, glue the two side panels down to card. So the only part not glued is the easel piece.
Using the Sweet Angel stamp set and yellow ink, stamp the halo with the lines, all over the two (1.25 x 4) white pieces going in different directions. Stamp the same image on the (4 x 5.25) white piece of cardstock. Use black ink to stamp the greeting on the (2.25 x 2.25) white piece. Stamp the Angel on the (4 x 2 1/8) piece of white cardstock. Stamp the halo above. I used the Wink of Stella pen and drew over all of the halo's to give them a sparkle. Glue the two white panels to the front of the card. Adhere the white (4 x 5.25) piece to back of card.
Back to card, apply adhesive to the bottom of the flap that you folded in half, be sure to only apply to half. Adhere the yellow (4.25 x 2 3/8) piece to this flap. Adhere the Angel piece to this piece. Apply foam squares to the back of the greeting piece. Adhere to card base (in front of the easel), to keep easel in place.
