Hi Everyone Happy Wednesday To You!
Today I want to share a really easy but yet so elegant gate-fold card!
I am really happy with the way this card turned out and I love that little bird. It is from the Birdie Says stamp set. The paper is from the coloring book Be Still and Know That I am God, and is colored in with the Spectrum Noir Markers. A lot of coloring, but I love the finished look, plus I do find coloring very relaxing.
Here is a look at the inside of the card, just as cute!
I colored the smaller bird in the same colors, just in the opposite. I also added strips of the colored paper to the outside panels. I love the three little birds peeking in on the left side.
Here is a list of all products and sizes I used:
Cream Cardstock Base: 8.5 x 11 (score at 2 1/8 each end
Cream Cardstock: 2.5 x 2.5
White Cardstock: 4 x 5.25
White Cardstock: 2.25 x 2.25
White Cardstock: 2 @ 1 7/8 x 5.25
Colored Paper: 2 @ 1 7/8 x 5.25 (plus extra strips)
The How To:
With the card base, crease on score marks, be sure to have the flaps facing up. Adhere pattern paper (or colored paper) to the left and right front panels. Using black ink and the mini misti, line up the medium sized bird and the "You're so tweet" stamp set so they fit on the bottom end of the white 4 x 5.25 cardstock (this is for the inside center of the card). Once stamped, adhere to inside as shown in the picture.
Adhere small strips of pattern paper (or colored paper) (about .5 in width) to the top and bottom of the two white cardstock strips (1 7/8 x 5.25) Trim off any excess. Adhere to inside left and right panels as shown.
Using the black ink and the larger bird from the stamp set, stamp the bird on the white 2.25 x 2.25 cardstock. Color in as desired.
Adhere ONLY HALF of the cream 2.5 x 2.5 cardstock to the left flap on the front of the card, making sure to center this piece on the card front. Once adhered, open the card and if desired you can stamp three of the smallest bird from the stamp set to the backside of the cream piece.
Place some foam squares on the back of the 2.25 x 2.25 colored bird piece (I used 5, all 4 corners and 1 in the center). Adhere this piece on top of the cream colored piece on the front. Wala, your card is finished.

Hope all of you have a Wonderful Wednesday, Hugs, Stacy ♥
