Thanks, Mirian for this idea! These cards look so complicated but Maymay shows us how to make these easy peasy stars. So gather up those supplies and let's create! Plus Maymay created a Cricut cut file for this awesome project!

Measurements:
Card base
~Start with a 7 1/2" x 6 1/2" piece of cardstock, mark it in the middle on the 7 1/2 inch side. Slice from corner to middle mark on each side to get a triangle.
~Score on all three sides at 3 1/4 and 4 1/4. Fold on the score lines
~Then lock in the star by pulling the bottom point over the top.
Mat layers
~ Cut 4 pieces of different pattern paper to 3 1/4"x 2 3/4", then mark the middle of three of the rectangles in the middle at 1 5/8", place in your timmer to make the triangles just like you did the card base. Leave one of these triangles for you center layer. Take the other 3 triangles and cut 3/4" off of one side( that cutoff piece is now a layer) and then trim off 1/8" and you will have the correct layer size. See video for placement.
