You Are Our Anchor

As Father's Day is celebrated in June I decided to make

this a Father's Day Card. I used a standard sized card base of

4 ¼ X 5 ½.. in blue. I cut a white mat with the largest die from a

Lawn Fawn die called Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables. I also used

the die to cut a smaller white piece of cardstock for the focal. A stamp

from Stamping Up was used to do the color spots behind the Anchor.

I used the Distress Ink for the stamping. I stamped the anchor

from MayMay's set called “ Anchored “ and fussy cut it out and

mounted it on dimensional tape and placed it over the stamped

background. I tied a piece of Crochet thread through the hold. I then

glued the focal piece onto a mat of blue with Art Glitter Glue. I

threaded some crochet thread through a button and used the

glitter glue to fasten the button to the front of the card and attached

the ends of the thread to the back of the focal piece with tape

and then glued the focal piece onto the larger die cut piece of white

card stock and glued that to the blue card base. I

computer journaled a poem I wrote and glued it to the inside of

the card.
