I had posted a picture of a card that I had made back in December on facebook that created a buzz. Maymay made a video on the A2 portrait style card like the one I posted. Today I'm going to show you how to make the Landscape Drapery fold for an A2card.
This card show cases the designer paper and is a quicker ... card to make!
Start with a 12x12 piece of double sided designer paper I used stampin up's birthday boutique I love this paper! On one side cut the paper down to 11 1/2". Turn the paper and cut at 4". so your paper is 4"x 11 1/2". (You should be able to have 3 pieces at 4" x 11 1/2")
Whichever side you want to be the main pattern, place that side up on your score board. Score with the wide end of your styles ( so you don't rip the paper, I know) Place the paper on the score board going across the board. Score at 3',4",6",7",9",10". Start at the 3" score line cut at an angle across the paper to the top of the paper leaving 1"on the other side. See diagram below. (Don't throw away the small piece)
Fold back and forth starting with a valley fold, mountain fold, valley, mountain fold etc
Glue the pleats down in the front and the back using art glitter glue
I took a piece of 4.25x 11 piece of Pool Party card stock scored it at 5.5 and embossed only half of the card. ( I choose a small pattern, I wanted the paper to be the focal point of the card) I stamped the sentiment Be Still and Know I Am God from Maymay's stamp set Be Still using black memento ink
Now attach the drapery fold to the front of the card, trimming to fit if necessary. Add a ribbon across and attach a double bow.
I added a butterfly using bitty butterfly punch and blushing bride card stock and I added a few small pearls bend up the wings all little, then attach it to the card using glue dots.
NOTE******The piece of double sided paper that was cut off can be folded and added to a small notecard or maybe even a tag!!
Have fun everyone will think you spent hours on their card!!
